The Backyard Grub N’ Brews

With all the food choices we have thrown in our faces these days, nothing is more refreshing than a good ol’ family ran business, serving up fresh, tasty eats alongside a killer selection of craft beers. Thankfully, the Santa Clarita Valley is home to such a place, and that place is The Backyard Grub N’ Brews.

With 36 rotating craft beers on tap, and a menu boasting dishes such as 8 hour braised short ribs, flat-iron steaks rubbed in a blend of dried chili powders and coffee, and wild-caught salmon filets topped with melted caper butter, THIS is the place to be.

…. And they make donuts to order…. Out of biscuit dough…. and they’re served with a side of their in-house berry preserves for dipping….

Friday’s and Saturday’s are jam-packed with locals who come to listen a variety of live bands play on their giant 2,000 square foot patio, complete with a fire pit and lounge chairs. The dog-friendly patio overlooks Golden Valley Road, a main artery here in the Santa Clarita Valley, and is a great place to host events and large parties. With numerous picnic tables, it’s the perfect community spot, and can be reserved with a set menus that fit any budget.

The Yard, as some people call it, offers DAILY happy hour, with items starting under $3, and is available throughout the entire restaurant. They also host great events, such as pint nights, where a brewery takes over their taps and hands out giveaways and pint glasses.

The Backyard Grub N’ Brews is my go-to place in the valley, and I highly recommend you check it out! Also, be sure to follow their Facebook page for entertainment and event schedules, new menu items and weekly updates of their rotating beer menus.
